Dr. Andrew Huberman is a neuroscientist and tenured professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he is an Associate Professor of Neurobiology and, by courtesy, of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He directs the Huberman Lab, whose research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying vision, visual perception, stress and resilience, and neuroplasticity—the nervous system’s ability to change in response to experience. Dr. Huberman earned his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of California, Davis. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University School of Medicine before joining the faculty at UC San Diego and later Stanford. He is also the host of the Huberman Lab podcast, where he discusses neuroscience, health, and science-based tools related to areas such as sleep, stress, focus, fitness, and behavior, often with researchers and experts from different fields.
